This is the mantra of core stabilization training. The spine is at its strongest in its neutral position. Your low back is like a metal hanger. You can only bend it so many times before it breaks. No crunches or sit ups ever!

All movement begins in your core! Every exercise is a core exercise! When it comes to your core, it is not about strength. It is about endurance! Fatigue invariably precedes injury. We believe in training for endurance without getting tired.
Are you glute dormant?

As my friend Eric Beard from NASM says "GET YOUR BUTT IN GEAR, SAVE YOUR BACK!" The vast majority of people are incredibly glute dormant. That is their glutes are turned off and don't work properly. Your glutes (butt muscles) are absolutely essential core stabilization muscles.
